Joanna Rodriguez grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University in 1998. While attending Rutgers, Ms Rodriguez was one of the few students selected to participate in Latino Leaders Fellowship Institute. Ms. Rodriguez also interned with the Public Defender’s Office in Middlesex County and in the New Jersey Governor’s Office. After college, Ms. Rodriguez attended and graduated from Massachusetts School of Law.
After graduating law school in 2001, Ms. Rodriguez was employed as family law mediator for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement Division and the Essex County Probate and Family Court. Ms. Rodriguez later went on to establish her own practice. With more than 8 years of experience, Ms. Rodriguez developed a reputation as a competent and aggressive litigator and advocate. Her stress-free and out-going style allows her to make the people around her feel relaxed; therefore fostering a better interaction with clients and opposing counsel.
Ms. Rodriguez is an experienced attorney who specializes her practice in all aspects of criminal law and family law including child custody, child support, visitation, removal, international child custody, divorce, property division, and uncontested divorce. Ms. Rodriguez is also experienced in handling a variety of criminal cases including DUI, domestic abuse and assault, suspended license and restoration, burglary, breaking and entering, larceny, underage possession of alcohol, drug charges, identity theft, speeding, sex offenses, robbery, probation violations, and assault and battery.
